While I assume for the most part, while I'll be writing this blog I will most likely not have any readers, I will be everyday posting something different I have encountered in my life as an Art History student and as an intern for an Art and History Museum in Florida.
I suppose I will introduce myself to give a bit of a persona to this blog, my name is Kristina and I am a 23 year old student at UCF, which is in Orlando, Florida, I have had a love for the arts since I was an elementary school student, and I do a little bit of painting and printmaking myself. I was originally going to study studio art, but because I am not to keen on marketing my artwork to be sold, I switched to Art History to further explore my passion for the past, present and future of the Art world. I have a passion for the Italian Renaissance,19th century French Impressionism and I am finding a new love of Modern/Contemporary Art.
I intern at the Art and History Museum of Maitland, which I love dearly, helping with Rental of the facilities and the Gallery Store. I also just started volunteering at the UCF Gallery helping maintain the collection of work the school has a acquired, by cataloging and preserving the work.
But, that is enough about me for now :D Art is an incredible thing and I hope that I will inspire some people to take a closer look at the world around them, and what Art has done for us all.
